Privacy Policy

Effective date: 15 October 2026

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

This website (hmstrs.world) is operated by [name of the legal entity or business owner, address, registration number] ("Hamsters", "HMSTRS", "we"), contact: mail@hamsters.run. We decide how your personal data is processed when you use the website or contact us.

The website is informational: it has no registration, user accounts or forms. Our partner platform, hamsters.run, runs separately and has its own terms and data practices, so this policy does not apply to it. The same goes for our vacancy pages on Notion and for Telegram, Instagram and LinkedIn: these are third-party services with their own policies.

2. Data we collect

We receive data in two ways only: automatically when you open the website, and from you when you write to us.

Technical data collected automatically. IP address, browser and device type, language, date and time of the visit, and the pages you opened. These are standard server logs kept by our hosting provider, Netlify, Inc.

Data you send us. If you message us on Telegram, by email, on Instagram or on LinkedIn, we see what you send: your name or nickname, contact details, the message itself and any attachments.

Candidate data. When you apply for a vacancy or write to recruiting, we receive your CV, the role you want, work experience, case studies or work samples and contact details. During selection we may also receive test task or test traffic run results and interview notes. Please do not send identity documents, financial details or health information: we do not need them for hiring.

Partner and advertiser data. If you write to our team about cooperation, we receive the contact details and company information you include in your message.

3. Why we use your data and on what basis

We use data only for the purposes it was provided for, and we do not sell it.

4. Cookies and analytics

This website does not use cookies for analytics, advertising or tracking you across sites, and it has no analytics or advertising scripts.

The website's fonts and images are served from our own hosting, with no third-party services.

5. Who we share data with and how long we keep it

We do not sell your data. Only Hamsters employees who need it for their work (recruiting, the affiliate network team, BizDev, support) have access to it, along with the services that help us do that work:

Some of these services may process data outside the EU and Ukraine. In such cases the safeguards offered by the services themselves apply, for example standard contractual clauses. Authorities may receive data only on a justified request, where the law requires it.

Retention periods.

6. Your rights, security, children, changes and contact

Your rights. You can ask what data we hold about you and get a copy; correct inaccurate data; ask us to delete your data or restrict its processing; request your data in a portable format; object to processing based on our legitimate interest; and withdraw your consent at any time where processing is based on consent. Write to mail@hamsters.run and we will reply within one month.

If you believe we have violated your rights, you can complain to the data protection authority: the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights (ombudsman.gov.ua), or the data protection authority of the country where you live.

Security. We protect data with reasonable technical and organizational measures: access only on a need-to-know basis and an encrypted connection (HTTPS) on the website. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

Children. The website is intended for a professional audience aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we find such data, we will delete it.

Changes. We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page, and the effective date is stated at the top.

Contact. Questions about your data: mail@hamsters.run.
